by admini on March 10, 2017

My father, John Ostovic, died in 2004 as the result of a traumatic brain injury sustained while at work. He was one of the more than 5760 Americans who lost their lives in workplace injuries in 2004. His death was preventable and tragic.

Love YOU Molly! Don’t ever forget that Papa John loved you more than life itself and you were his best buddy!!! Thank you for being so wonderful and for keeping him your heart. Remember to live life the way did — with love, honesty and kindness. Embrace knowledge and don’t forget what H20 and NaCl stand for (your first chemistry lessons from your Papa John). You are his legacy, and he will always be watching you.

He was a stellar individual – very honest & caring. Very intelligent but didn’t brag. I miss him more with each passing day. Thanks for checking it out. I really didn’t see what you were talking about, though. The wild image? Three faces?

    Mary,
Thank You so much for your comment. I really want to raise awareness about work related deaths. Pennsylania ranks is the fourth in the nation for work related deaths, and brain injuries rank the highest. I subscribed to your page and I’ll keep checking back. I am my father’s only child, we were very close and I suffered a nervous breakdown shortly after his death.

I can help you with that if you’d like. I’d also like to add your father to the faces campaign. If that’s okay with you. Since the comment page will not allow me to post links for some reason I will send you a personal comment with all my contact info should you want to contact me for anything. And I do mean anything. Even if you just need to bend someones ear who truly understands what you are going through. As only those who have survived a similar loss can.
    Sincerely,

    Mary

I was thinking about John today(aka Big John) and decided to type his name in and do a web search on him. I had known John for many years and upon going to college in the late 60’s we became best and unseperable friends. I was not there for his wedding and I was not there for his passing-all of which still haunt me to this day. One of the snaps of John when he had long hair brought back many fond memories of our youth together, I miss my best friend Big John..we will meet again
    Little John…

I didn’t know John, but from this video, it is clear he was a good man. I hope he is doing well in heaven and looking down upon his family and smiling. death is a scary thought, something that has been scaring me for a while, but we must all face it. I am truly sorry. I feel so sad after watching this. :(
